Fresh Start Housing
Fresh Start Housing was developed to assist individuals who turn 18 years old and find themselves homeless, many age-out of the foster care system, others did not make a lasting bond with adoptive parents, there are many reasons these individuals find themselves homeless and without hope. The program is designed to provide shared housing very similar to college dorm environments, while they transition to self-sufficiency. Each resident must achieve the stability of maintaining a job and advance their education for further growth.
The ultimate goal is for our residents to develop valuable life skills and establishing personal objectives for their future. It is the expectation of Fresh Start Housing that residents will become self-sufficient and move on to other housing arrangements within 4 years. Assistance and advice on basic life skills, education, and career choices are available as-needed to help the residents in their transition.
