| A Fresh Start Method was originated to provide financial literacy education to individuals facing homelessness in a transitional housing setting. We now offer personalized financial literacy lessons. Financial literacy encompasses far more than simply understanding the fundamentals of spending, saving, and budgeting. It essentially relates to an individual’s understanding of money and their ability to assess its potential benefits or drawbacks in their life. Financial literacy encompasses the knowledge of how various elements influence decision-making. These factors encompass cognitive biases in thinking and actions, challenges with self-control, the influence of family and friends, peer pressure, advanced marketing techniques, economic circumstances, community influences, and institutional factors. | |

| Fresh Start Housing is a proactive, education-oriented transitional housing program designed to empower individuals experiencing homelessness through the principles of financial literacy. While financial literacy is sometimes mistaken for basic numeracy, which focuses on numbers and financial tasks such as budgeting, savings, and checking accounts, it encompasses much more. It encourages individuals to reflect on their values, define their goals, and develop a strategic plan to attain those objectives.
