Attending the Mental Health and Addiction Symposium & Heros for Recovery Luncheon was an extraordinary experience for advancing knowledge, networking, and gaining greater insight into the struggles of the disenfranchised. My attendance concentration aligned with “How our brain handles challenges, and how that leaves us vulnerable to addiction and anxiety.” presented by Dr. Fredrick (Woody) Hopf of Indiana University School of Medicine.
