ACDC 4th Annual Delaware County Symposium on Substance Use Disorders,

Yesterday I attended the ACDC 4th Annual Delaware County Symposium on Substance Use Disorders, “Harm Reduction and Healthy Lives in Deleware County.” They have facilitated some excellent workshops. I attended: SIM (Sequential Intercept Model) Mapping Training with Dr. Lynn Witty, MD. The Sequential Intercept Model (SIM) details how individuals with mental and substance use disorders come into contact with and move through the criminal justice system. The other workshop attended covered: Creating a Trauma-Informed Culture: Tapping into the power of self and your unique Circle of Influence with Dr. Jonel Thaller & Tracena Marie, BSU. The Mayor and Commissioner of Muncie were present, making the event engaging. — Ball State University College of Health
