Dorothy has a Car

It brings me great joy to share the progress and achievements of the residents of Fresh Start Housing. I want to congratulate Dorothy for successfully acquiring and paying for a car in cash without dipping into her savings. She has also filed the necessary documents to seek pre-approval for buying her first home.

We think that while a strong work ethic and motivation are essential for change, simply wanting to change isn’t always sufficient. Enhanced education in financial literacy, a fundamental aspect of the Fresh Start Method, plays a vital role in the success of our residents. Financial literacy goes beyond merely managing a budget and saving funds. Financial literacy is an element of human capital that impacts financial decision-making and affects cognitive and behavioral tendencies, self-control challenges, as well as various factors related to family, peers, the economy, society, and institutions that can influence an individual’s well-being.
